This series is a profound visual journey through states of anxiety, inner conflict and ultimate acceptance. Maintained in an intense palette of pinks, purples and reds, the triptych explores the universal experience of striving for inner peace. Hands are the main language here – initially covering and suppressing, but ultimately surrounding and supporting, symbolising the path to self-awareness and finding strength within oneself.
Series: Psychological Triptych vol3, Courage in Acceptance
This painting represents the culmination and emotional resolution of the entire triptych. It transitions from themes of fear and tension to a state of deep, self-aware tranquillity.
Transition to Acceptance: Unlike previous works, the face is completely exposed and looks directly at the viewer with a sense of strength and balance. There is no longer any concealment or escape. The gaze is calm and confident, reflecting self-understanding and letting go of the struggle.
Gesture of Comfort: The hands are still present and dynamic, but their role has changed. They no longer press or cover, but support, touch and surround the figure. The hands form a kind of halo or protective space around the head, symbolising the completion of the process of self-comfort — finding security within oneself.
Hair Symbolism: Hair, in light, ethereal tones, seems to float and gently entwine the figure. This may symbolise liberation from burdens and finding one’s own light and authentic identity (the courage to live life on one’s own terms).
Colour scheme of the New State: Although the palette still refers to the cycle (pink/purple), it is much brighter, more luminous and delicate. The dominance of light, pearlescent pink in the background and in the hair accents introduces a sense of relief, hope and inner light.
Summary: This image expresses the ultimate triumph over fear. It is the moment when the character has stopped fighting, accepted their inner self (as in the second image) and, thanks to this courage, found solace that comes solely from within.
